After much debate and some sample wall trials, we have made a paint color decision. At first, we thought navaho white was the perfect compliment to the pine beams and pinkish tile. To test our theory, we painted small swatches of the three contenders on various walls in the house. By doing so, we were able to see the colors in different levels of sunlight and in conjunction with the assorted materials and finishes. In the end, Carrington Beige was the winner. Its subtle grey and golden tones work very well with the pine, and help to neutralize the tile by pulling out its mottled earthy hues.
The next step in the staging process will be finding the right furnishings for this modern beach house.
